2023 Illinois Regional College Fair at RLC

INA, Ill. (Sep. 8, 2023)—High school students, RLC students, and the community are invited to attend the Illinois Regional College Fair (IRCF) on September 12 at the RLC Event Center in Ina.

IRCF is free event that brings in multiple colleges from the area all in one place. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 11:00 a.m. Officials from nearly 40 community colleges and four-year universities will be there to answer questions and provide helpful information regarding their school.

RLC Student Success & Recruitment Specialist Heather Maschhoff is spearheading this year’s IRFC. In the fall, she goes out into the community to talk to prospective students about starting their journey at Rend Lake College. Now she invites students and community members to RLC campuses to take part in the College Fair.

“College fairs are a great way for students to meet with a variety of schools and find out what they have to offer by first-hand experience,” Maschhoff said. “Students can ask questions and determine what they are looking for in a college and meet with representatives.”

Below are the colleges and universities who have been confirmed for the fair at RLC, though more may be in attendance. The fair is sponsored by the Illinois Association of College Admission Counseling. Students may attend the event without a parent or guardian present.
